Booking a new kind of event activity comes with a lot of quiet questions. When does the truck show up? Where does it park? Who runs it? What do we need to do?

This post walks through a typical event day with the Mobile Mulligans Golf Truck, from the moment we arrive to the moment we pull away. Every event is a little different, and we confirm the details with your event contact ahead of time, but this is the general shape of the day.

Before event day: the plan

A smooth event day starts with a clear plan. After you send your date, address and timeframe, we review the request, follow up on anything we still need and send an estimate. Once the booking is complete, we coordinate with your event contact on the details that matter:

• Where the truck will park and how it will get there.

• When setup should start and when play should begin and end.

• Whether the event is indoors or outdoors.

• Any game formats, awards or approved sponsor content on the displays.

Space is the big one. Plan for roughly 36 feet of length, 16 feet of width and 15 feet of overhead clearance on a relatively level surface. The truck has built-in leveling equipment, but steep driveways or grade changes can cause trouble, so photos of the access route and setup area are always helpful. Our Golf Truck event FAQ covers space, power and weather in more detail.

Arrival and setup

Our crew arrives 60 to 90 minutes before your start time, or earlier when arranged. From the outside it looks like a box truck pulling in. Then it opens up.

During setup we prepare the covered hitting bay, the lounge seating, the TrackMan simulator and 4K displays, music on the Sonos system and any agreed sponsor displays. For outdoor events, the truck is self-contained, so no external power hookup is needed. Indoor setups use shore power from the venue, which we review before confirming.

Your team does not need to lift a thing. A short check-in with your event contact is usually all we need.

The first swing

When guests arrive, the bay is ready. Our on-site staff greets players, helps them choose a club and explains the game. Right- and left-handed adult clubs are included, and kids' clubs are available for family events.

No golf experience needed. First-timers get friendly guidance, and experienced players can dig into their TrackMan feedback or chase the top spot on the leaderboard.

During the event

This is the fun part, and our staff handles it. A staff member stays on site throughout to manage guest flow, help with clubs and run the games. Popular formats include:

• Open play: guests drop in, take a few swings and rotate.

• Closest to the Pin: one swing, one target, a quick winner.

• Long Drive: easy to explain and fun to watch.

• Team challenges: a running score between departments, tables or teams.

Guests who are not swinging can relax in the lounge, cheer on coworkers or friends and jump in when they are ready. Music and game audio can be coordinated with your event contact so the volume fits the venue.

Weather on the day

The hitting bay has AC and heat. Fans support warm-weather events, and a standing heater supports winter lounge setups. Severe weather may require play to pause or the event to be rescheduled for safety, and we will communicate with your event contact if conditions change.

Last swing and pack-down

When play ends, we pack down. That typically takes 45 to 60 minutes. We close up the bay, stow the equipment and leave the space clean. Then the truck is a box truck again and rolls out.

What you will want ready

• A clear, relatively level parking and setup area.

• A point of contact on site who can meet the crew.

• Your schedule: start, end and any featured moments like awards or a toast.

• For indoor events, confirmed access, clearance and shore power.
